Hello everyone!
I feel like i’d have to write something new, but because there is not one big thing at this moment, I’m going to write something like a little newsflash of interresting things.
Intel with VT: Intel has produced the first Pentium 4 Processors with the Vanderpool virtualising technology. The models 672 (3,8 GHz, 605 US-Dollar) and 662 (3,6 GHz, 401 US-Dollar) are the only cpus for the end-user supporting virtualising at this time. AMD will sell the first CPUs with that feature in 2006. There are a lot of ways to use this technology, I think it will even revolutionize the whole PC business. My next machine will probably be an AMD Dualcore with Pacifica. But we will see what future brings.
School: I must say i really hate this project management course. We should learn the theory, then do some exercise which’s solution are totally different than what the teacher says and then we have to do the same things with an own project. Another problem is that the course is even one day shorter than planned. But we have to do the same work in 4 days instead of 5.
Soccer: Maybe you’ve heard about the success of the swiss national team. Now the turkish fans are really outrageus and they threw even eggs and milk at the bus which brought the swiss players into the hotel. However, switzerland played really nice and the win was just fair. I’m looking forward to the match tomorrow which will take place in Istanbul.
Security: I’m going to use encrypted filesystems in the future. I discussed this with Güdel and I’ll probably use a solution which is much like the solution he wrote about in his blog.

boring…
