Well, I didn’t write for quite some time… this is because I don’t really know what to write. I have also been sick ond thursday and friday.

I have been in a cave ond Weissenstein, the Nidlenloch, but I didn’t want to write about without having some pictures… maybe I should write a mail to my dad

Yesterday I updated all my webapplications, if they can be called like this. The WordPress Weblog you’re staring at right now is now version 2.01 and my gallery 2.0.3. There were some flaws in the already installed version. I had to remove the IPB Board because it was really old, nobody used it and I couldn’t get an update for it.

Since 3 weeks, I’m doing practical at Schlüssel Informatik and I try to design a website using Joomla. It is not a bad system, and it is really nice, as long as you want to do what somebody else already did. If there’s a component for Joomla which does exactly what you need, well. Else you have a problem. Especially me, because I don’t know php at all.

Oh, and on tuesday, my Notebook gave up it’s service. The monitor data cable seems to have a disruption, which makes it quite impossible to work with it. It works about 10 minutes after you started the notebook, but then it starts flickering and it gets worse the longer it runs. I brought the notebook to the company I normally work at, and I don’t know yet what they’ll be able to do. Meanwhile, I have another notebook from Schlüssel Informatik, a Samsung X20. I already installed ubuntu on it and it works like a charm. There are only two things which could be better;

• The Display is only 1024×768… My other notebook was 1400×1050
• The Intel graphics chip is slow so I can’t run Xgl (until now)

Oh and I had to visit the military information event on monday… They would better send the documents home, because what they do at this event, could be done using one brochure… But it was easy because I saw a lot of friends i knew from my time in school in Küttigen and Aarau.
